Climbing on the roof of the jungle

The canopy walkway, one of the most beautiful treetop paths in Germany, is located at the Thiemsburg Castle in the Hainich National Park, 10 kilometres west of Bad Langensalza.

Canopy walkway

With a length of 540 metres, the barrier-free path meanders through the treetops and opens up a unique perspective on this species-rich habitat. On your tour, you will discover many interesting and astonishing facts about the flora and fauna of Hainich. In addition, climbing elements on the path provide some thrills. From the 44-metre-high observation tower you can enjoy an impressive panoramic view over the Thuringian Basin and the Hainich.
